canvas map case shoulder bag Jul 09, 2010 excellent quality and substantial bag; I purchased it as a prop for a play but it can be used for everyday purposes.

Great Man Bag May 21, 2010 I basically use it as a purse. My wife cringes when I call it that, but whatever. It carries my wallet in the small front pocket. I use the rear main compartment for whatever book I'm reading, and a couple cd's. In the forward main compartment I put chapstick, hand sanitizer, ipod and stuff like that. I attached a cell phone holder to the strap and its good-to-go. Its the perfect size for what I use it for, its extremely durable and I like the way it looks. I've read some reviews on here about the snaps being too difficult, but I have found the snaps to be just right. Absolutely no complaints - great bag.
Bag O' Art Mar 12, 2010 I bought this bag with the intent to use it to carry all of my art supplies (sketchbooks, a magazine or two, colored pencils, markers, pencils, whatever else I may need). So far, it's worked out well for me. I'm not a huge fan of the stiff backboard in it, because it falls over all the time, but I went into the purchase knowing that. It holds all my stuff pretty easily, and I haven't had a problem with it at all. I like the divider in the middle of the pack, and the front pocket is perfect for throwing my ipod in and going. I've drawn all over the outside of the bag, because it's a good surface, and, hey, I'm an art student. It's pretty heavy duty, and I can kind of beat on it, and it hasn't shown any signs of tearing or anything. A good buy for the price, you won't be disappointed.
Seems small but it isn't Jan 27, 2010 This bag is one of the favorites from those I already own(because is smallish but looks cool hehe), the reason I bought it was to carry my netbook and some college books/notebooks.
So now the pros:
-Good built quality for it's price
-Roomier for a 12" inch bag
The cons:
-has no handle
-the strap is way too thin, which make feel anything you're carrying more heavy
-the compartment for pencils and stuff is too small
Should you buy this? Only if you'll carry light weight stuff, a netbook, couple of books or so.

For the price, can't be beaten Nov 04, 2009 So I was in the market for a man bag but didn't feel like blowing a whole ton of money on one of mediocre quality. I ordered this bag since it was dirt cheap, functional looking and of the size I was looking for. I must say so far I'm quite satisfied, it is light and carries the man stuff I've been hand-carrying around without being obnoxious. I ordered the olive colored one. I think for the price, you aren't going to do a whole lot better.
I would really prefer if it had a handle on top for hand carrying as well, as it does seem somewhat purse-like slung over the shoulder. That's just me though. Also, the buttons that close the flap aren't particularly friendly.. a magnetic closing mechanism would be ideal. This might change after using it for a while and "breaking in" the buttons.
If you are just looking for a cheap satchel for carrying a few loose items and essentials, this is a great product.
