Definitely a disappointment Dec 07, 2009 This is my first encounter with long underwear. It had been my understanding that the main reasons for it were warmth, warmth, and warmth. The whole reason for the inconvenience of one piece underwear is that you don't get the heat leakage you'd get wearing separate tops and bottoms. This item should be designed with that fact centrally in mind, but it is ill conceived: the fabric is not very thick requiring additional layers be worn to sleep in the cold; what's with the buttons, this is the 21st century not the 19th, use velcro! it creates a much better thermal seal and is more convenient; and why only offer red?
I could achieve more warmth with two piece garments. Does somebody make thermal underwear the way it ought to be made?

Love it, keeps me warm and snuggly Sep 01, 2009 No wonder these union suits were sold out! These are great. They are exactly what you would expect and the quality is phenomenal! I look forward to going to sleep because I get to snuggle into my warm union suit.
The only cons I can think of is that the union suit is only available in one color and if you want to wear it under your clothes for being outside, it works superbly, but I think you might have to shave your legs because the layers of clothes goes against the grain of you leg hair. But besides that, it is well well worth it.

Comfortable item, rebuying to replace an old one Dec 19, 2006 While I concur with the above poster on the loose fit aspect not being apparent from the picture (you will need underwear if you're the type to like a snug fit in the nether regions, I agree I'm not aware of noticeable shrinking), I had to post a counterbalncing entry to mention positively that my wife sent me out to pick one up tonight to replace a much favored previous one that has finally worn a bit. That took a while, as garment quality is fairly high.
It's a fairly good pair of pajamas. I suspect my wife would give it a five on wearer comfort, though I personally judge it a four blending aesthetics and relatively snugglability relative to other pajamas against it's comfort and quality. Which is a bit odd to post, but there you go. :-)

Nothing like the picture... Sep 02, 2006 I must admit that the textile quality is very good. But it doesn't look anything like the picture... The packaging says product is especially sewn larger - it should shrink to fit when washed... not only makes the color (red) this thing impossible to wear, but it will also not shrink (enough) to fit ?!? My husband needs another piece of underwear to "keep everything in place"... I was very disappointed.
